A traditional Egyptian dish made with rice, lentils, chickpeas, macaroni, and tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • - 1 cup lentils
  • - 1 cup rice
  • - 1 cup macaroni
  • - 1 cup chickpeas
  • - 1 cup tomato sauce
  • - 1 onion
  • - 2 cloves garlic
  • - 1 tsp cumin
  • - 1 tsp coriander
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 1 tsp pepper
  • - 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the lentils, rice, macaroni, and chickpeas in separate pots.
  2. 2. Dice the onion and garlic and saute in a pan with the olive oil.
  3. 3. Add the tomato sauce, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Combine the lentils, rice, macaroni, and chickpeas in a large bowl and mix in the sauce.
